About Tic-Tac-Toe
The classic three-in-a-row game, played against the computer over a ten-round match. You are X and always move first; the computer plays O.
How to play Tic-Tac-Toe
- Press Start Game. The bar at the top shows the round (out of 10) and your wins.
- Tap an empty square to place your X.
- The computer answers with an O. It takes a winning square if it has one, blocks you if you're about to win, likes the centre and otherwise plays randomly.
- Get three in a row — across, down or diagonally — to win the round. A full board with no line is a draw.
- After ten rounds you see how many you won out of ten.

Tips for a higher score
- Open in a corner. If the computer doesn't take the centre, you can usually build a fork — two threats at once — which it can only block one of.
- The computer always blocks a single threat, so a win almost always comes from a fork.
- If you take the centre first, play the opposite corner of any corner it takes.
- A perfect score of 10 is possible, but draws are common against good defence.
