About SpeedTyper
SpeedTyper turns typing practice into a terminal defence game. Short commands — git, ping, sudo-style words like root and sync — fall from the top of a green screen. Type each one before it hits the bottom.
How to play SpeedTyper
- Press Boot up!. The input box under the screen is focused automatically.
- Type a falling word exactly as shown. As soon as it matches, the word is destroyed and the box clears — no Enter needed.
- Red words (ERROR, VIRUS, CRASH…) are traps. Typing one costs a token; let them fall instead.
- Every normal word that reaches the bottom also costs one of your 10 tokens.
- Words fall faster and more often as your score grows. The game ends when the tokens run out.

Tips for a higher score
- Clear the lowest word first — it's the one about to cost you a token.
- The level multiplier applies to every word, so points snowball once you pass 300 and 600.
- Red words never need typing. Treat them as background.
- Words are all lowercase and short; accuracy matters more than raw speed.
